Contract of Self Care

Funded by a-n Artist Bursary 2021 TIME, SPACE, MONEY

My aim is to create a ‘Contract of Self Care’ to support a best practice model for artists who have a social practice as well as the participating members of the public involved in their projects. Also to explore ways of working as a social practice artist that are sustainable for artists with physical and mental health disabilities. Developing a ‘Contract of Self Care’ to support artists in avoiding Burnout.

Pathways to Happiness Project

February – April 2022

‘Pathways to Happiness’ is a HEARTHSTONE Ways project created and led by creative director, Luminara Florescu with funding from SS&L. The first set of workshops in this project are ‘The Happy Spirit’ workshops. These workshops are designed to encourage a sense of wellbeing and lift participants’ spirits through fun, laughter, learning new creative skills and meeting new people.

Artists Prison Residencies Programme

18th September – 3rd October 2021

The Artists Prison Residencies programme is run by artists and curators Luminara Florescu and Amanda Lynch in partnership with Shepton Mallet prison in Somerset and has been featured on BBC Points West, ITV and BBC online.

Funded by Shepton Mallet Town Council, OPEN Mental Health & GANES Trust.

‘B-Wing’ Exhibition

21st September – 6th October 2019

Luminara Florescu was a co-curator and contributing artist of the ‘B-Wing’ Exhibition in partnership with Shepton Mallet prison.
